Signage needs to be intelligently designed, but it also must maintain structural integrity. Over time, rust, poor foundations, and general wear-and-tear can result in under awning signs that collapse, pylons that crush cars, and sky signs that fall hundreds of meters to shut down traffic and seriously injure or kill pedestrians.
When choosing a pylon sign, make sure that someone properly constructs it with lasting materials like concrete footers, structural steel, and aluminum cladding. You want a sign that is durable rather than flimsy and one that will remain in service for years to come.
Signage doesn’t last forever and there are structural issues to consider. Any welds that could break or basic elements of the sign can bend and warp from exposure to varying temperatures. With the height of a sign, you also have to worry about a piece falling on cars or people in the area. That’s why regular site surveys, maintenance and upkeep are so important.
As days, weeks, and years pass, any weathering, cracking, rusting, and yellowing all need to be addressed, and that includes any dings, dents, and chipping. It occurs with any sign. These problems will damage the looks of your sign. It will appear neglected and dated. Other issues with the sign could emerge from ignoring the inevitability of age and neglect.
